Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026.
Who we are
The Pocket Stacks app is made and sold by Pocket Stacks (ABN 13 910 755 152), based in Brisbane, Australia ("we", "us"). Questions: support@pocketstacks.com.au.
What you're buying
A one-off purchase (A$19) gives you a personal licence to use the Pocket Stacks app at pocketstacks.com.au on your own devices, with the updates we release. There is no subscription.
- Use it on as many of your own devices as you like, for your own personal use.
- Your access code is for you. Please don't share or publish it. We may change a code that has been shared publicly and send you a new one.
- You may not copy, resell or redistribute the app, or remove its notices.
Your figures
Your figures are stored on your device, in your browser or installed app, not on our servers. That means:
- You are responsible for keeping a backup. Use Settings → Export a backup now, or connect your own Dropbox or Google Drive where offered. The app reminds you about every 30 days.
- Clearing your browser's data, removing the app or losing the device can erase figures we have no copy of. We can't recover them for you.
- Files you import are read on your device. If you use Ask your AI, you choose what to paste into your own AI app, and that app's own terms apply.
Not financial advice
Pocket Stacks is a record-keeping and visualisation tool. It does not give financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Projections, estimates and imported figures are illustrations based on what you enter or import, and can be wrong. Check anything important against your own records, and talk to a licensed professional about your situation.
Updates and availability
Updates load by themselves the next time you open the app online. We aim to keep the app online and improving, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Once installed, the app works offline with the figures on your device, and you can always export them.
Your rights under the law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. See Refunds for what happens if something goes wrong.
Our liability
Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including decisions you make using figures shown in the app. If we are liable for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee for a service not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be noted on the What's new page. These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
