Privacy
Last updated 9 October 2026. The short version: your figures stay on your device. We don't run accounts, analytics or ads, and we never see your balances.
Who we are
Pocket Stacks (ABN 13 910 755 152), Brisbane, Australia. Contact: support@pocketstacks.com.au.
Your figures
Everything you enter (balances, holdings, trades, notes, goals) is saved in your browser's storage on your device. It is not sent to us. There is no Pocket Stacks account. Backup files you export are saved wherever you choose.
What we do receive
- When you buy: Stripe handles payment. We receive your name, email address, what you bought and when, so we can give you your access code and help with support and refunds. We never see your card details.
- Your access code: each purchase gets its own code. The code, your name and email, the purchase reference and how many times it has been used to log in are stored on Cloudflare, so the code can let you in and be switched off after a full refund or a dispute.
- Your purchase email: your code is emailed to you from support@pocketstacks.com.au through Brevo, which receives your name and email address to deliver it.
- When you email us: what you send, to answer you.
- When you open the website or app: it is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request details (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site. Your access code is checked on Cloudflare and remembered by a cookie on your device for a year. That cookie is only used to let you in.
- Pay reminder links: if you add the calendar reminder, the link contains your pay frequency, first pay date and reminder offset, so the calendar file can be made. No figures are included.
Other services the app uses
- Fonts: the app loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details.
- Exchange rates: if you hold something in another currency, the app fetches a public rate from Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev) or ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com). Only the currency pair is sent.
- Sync (optional): if you connect Dropbox or Google Drive, a copy of your figures is saved in your own account there, in an app-only folder, under their privacy policies. The sign-in stays on your device. We don't receive your figures or your password.
- Ask your AI (optional): Pocket Stacks writes a prompt, and you choose whether to paste it, with your file or screenshot, into your own AI app (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or another). That AI provider's privacy terms apply, and some use chats for training unless you turn it off. Pocket Stacks sends nothing to them itself.
- Calendars: Google Calendar and Apple Calendar receive the reminder event when you choose to add it.
What we don't do
No analytics or tracking scripts, no advertising, no selling or sharing of your information. We don't use cookies for anything except the access cookie above.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires (in Australia, generally five years). Support emails are kept while they're useful for helping you. You can ask us to delete anything we're not required to keep.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@pocketstacks.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and respond to requests under the privacy laws that apply where you live, including the UK GDPR and New Zealand's Privacy Act. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local regulator.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and note it on the What's new page.
