Buy nowYour net worth at a glance
One number for everything you own and owe, with the detail behind it.
- Net worth, this monthAssets less debts, with the change on last month, last year and the year to date.
- Key numbers12-month high and low, average month, best and worst month, total assets and total debts, right under the headline.
- Without property and superA second net worth that leaves out the house and retirement money, so you can see what you could actually reach.
- BreakdownWhat you own and owe on one screen: each stack's value and gain since you bought, and each loan's progress paid off.
- Monthly notesAdd a note to any stack for the month (a revaluation, a big purchase). Notes show as a timeline on that stack.
Twelve stacks
A stack is one part of your money. Use one figure for it, or list what's inside.
- The stacksCash, savings, super (Pension in the UK, KiwiSaver in NZ, 401(k)/IRA in the US), shares, ETFs, crypto, property, property loans, vehicles, vehicle loans, other assets and other debts.
- One total or every lineEach stack takes one quick figure, or each account, holding or loan inside it. Your net worth comes out the same either way.
- Shares and ETFs in one stackIf one broker account holds both, track them together as Shares & ETFs.
- Holdings with gainsTicker, units, price and average cost for each share, ETF or coin, with the gain on each.
- Other currenciesPut an account or holding in another currency and it converts at the live rate, or a rate you type.
- Hide what you don't useStacks you never fill in can be tucked away.
- Region awareAustralia, the UK, New Zealand and the US: the currency, income year, retirement account name and loan-ratio word (LVR or LTV) follow your region.
The monthly Stacks update
A few minutes once a month.
- Guided first monthTap a stack and it steps through every empty one: Confirm & next, Skip, or Back. Leave one empty and it saves as $0.
- Confirm unchangedStacks that didn't move are confirmed in one tap.
- Add or take awayChange a stack you've already updated this month by an amount, instead of retyping it.
- Lock inWhen every stack is done, Lock in the month. Undo a lock, or fix any locked month later.
- Missed a monthFill it in, or carry last month's balances forward.
- Pay day check-insPaid weekly or fortnightly? Update your everyday stacks on pay day as well, and what you were paid adds up to the month's salary.
- Calendar remindersA repeating reminder for your pay day check-ins, or for the monthly Stacks update on the day you choose, in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Property, loans and vehicles
- Every propertyValue, purchase price and date, and whether it's rented, for each one.
- More than one loan on a propertyA split loan or a top-up, each with its own rate, length, repayment type and frequency.
- Loan mathsRepayment (principal and interest or interest only, weekly, fortnightly or monthly), interest this month, years remaining and payoff date. Use your lender's figure or let it calculate.
- Offset accountsFlag a cash or savings account as an offset and see what it saves you each month.
- Loan-to-valueEquity and LVR on each property, with a flag above the ratio you set.
- What if the value changes?A slider shows your equity and LVR if the property's value rises or falls.
- RentRent from each rental, expected rent, gross yield, and rent less the loan repayment.
- VehiclesValued for you as they age from the price and date, using typical depreciation for your region (rates you can change), or at a figure you type. Each vehicle's loan, its loan-to-value and your equity in it.
Debts and buy now, pay later
- Every debtRate, monthly payment and starting amount for each, with the payoff date and interest still to pay.
- What if I pay extra?A slider shows how much sooner you're clear when extra goes to the highest-rate debt first.
- Pay laterMark a debt as Pay in 4, a pay-later account or an interest-free plan. See what's due on your next pay-later day, what's due before your next update, when each is clear and how much of a limit is used, with a warning if an interest-free plan won't be paid off in time.
- From a screenshotYour own AI reads your Afterpay, Zip, Klarna or PayPal plans from a screenshot. You check every plan before it goes in.
Income
Optional, and kept apart from net worth.
- Salary, rent and other incomeEach month's salary, rent and other income (a side business, dividends, a government payment), one line per source.
- PayslipsGross, tax and net for each payslip, with a line for each pay day this month when you're paid weekly or fortnightly. Months with an extra pay are labelled so they don't look like a raise.
- Overtime and commissionTheir own boxes, shown split out from the base pay.
- Two peopleSalary for a couple: one box each, or pick whose pay each payslip is.
- KeptHow much of your income stayed as net worth this month and over 12 months.
Charts
Every chart works from your first month.
- TodayEvery stack over time, stacked, with the monthly change underneath. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or all.
- WaterfallWhat moved your net worth this month, stack by stack.
- ChangesEach month, fortnight or week.
- Year on year, Growth and ProjectionThis year against last, growth over time, and where your pace leads over the next 12 months.
- Read any monthDrag across a chart to read any point, or show the numbers as a table.
- Every stackEach stack has its own chart, history and range stats.
Goals and retirement
- Up to six goalsFor net worth or any stack, with a target and an optional date. Each says plainly whether you're ahead or behind, using your typical month so one-offs don't skew it.
- Retirement projectionYour super at retirement, in future and today's money, with sliders for retirement age, contributions and return. Every assumption is yours to change; no tax or cap rules are modelled.
History and records
- History sheetEvery month and every stack in one grid. Type into it or paste a block from a spreadsheet, with Undo.
- Add a past monthFill in months from before you started, so the charts have more to work with.
- Every month on recordLocked months stay as they were, with the accounts inside each stack.
Bring your data in
Files are read on your device. You see every change first, figures you typed are kept unless you say otherwise, and the last import can be undone.
- CompiledSanityEvery tab of your sheet: history, side income, super and cash accounts, properties, and share and ETF trades, checked against the sheet's own net worth.
- Brokers, read directlySharesight, CommSec, nabtrade, Pearler, SelfWealth, Moomoo, Coinbase, Binance and Snowball; Stake usually.
- Ask your AIFor any other broker or exchange, or a screenshot of your holdings: your own ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot reads it, and Pocket Stacks checks every figure. Also fills in every holding's price from one screenshot.
- Templates and workbooksFill in a Pocket Stacks template for past months, or bring back a sheet or workbook you exported.
Take your data out
- BackupOne file with everything, to restore on any device.
- SpreadsheetsThe history sheet, or a full workbook (balances, income, trades, holdings, property, goals) for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, then import it back with a preview of each change.
- For your accountantA financial year of records, and trades in Sharesight's import layout.
Privacy, sync and safety
- On your deviceNo bank logins and nothing to sign up for. Your figures stay on your devices.
- Sync across your devices (optional)Your figures are locked on your device before they leave, so Pocket Stacks can't read them. Add devices by code or QR, unlock with Face ID or fingerprint, remove a lost one, and bring back any of the earlier synced copies.
- Recovery KitA page to print or save: the way back if you lose every device.
- Backup remindersA nudge to save a backup about every 30 days, or every 90 with sync.
- Private window warningIf figures would be deleted when the window closes, the app says so straight away.
